We are a transport planning
consultancy which undertakes the full range of transport planning activities.
We specialise in developing effective transport plans - with highly
creative solutions - which really work! For example we were one of the
first to identify the potential for quality park and ride as part of
an effective car strategy (Kent County Council). We were one of the
first to identify the potential importance of cycling (Woking for Surrey
County Council in 1994) - well before the current bandwagon - and the
potential for longer distance walking to capture market share from car.
To make sure, we measured them - all in the mid nineties.
We develop major scheme bids
for clients, develop their business
case for funding, steer them through government for approval, take them
through public consultation, public enquiry and ultimately construction.
We produce transport strategy, in conjunction with spatial strategy, develop
and submit Local Transport Plans, prepare targets, undertake monitoring,
monitor the targets, prepare the Annual Progress Report and submit it to
government. We undertake highway scheme modelling and appraisal. We undertake
traffic and transport impact assessments – especially the more complex ones.
We develop accessibility strategy, accessibility plans, accessibility modelling,
accessibility targets, calculate DfT’s accessibility targets and monitor them.
We undertake multi-modal studies, railway planning studies, ridership, revenue,
economics and business case development. We also undertake fundamental research
in transport for governments and the European Commission. We have applied the
same degree of innovation and creativity to these and our other transport
planning capabilities:
